Key decisions regarding the adaptations in service delivery must be informed by accurate and timely data throughout all phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. This workstream intends to provide a set of innovative assessment and monitoring tools and dashboards that can help countries track the preparedness and performance of health systems during COVID-19. The tools can be integrated into an existing facility and community reporting and surveillance systems at the national and sub-national levels. The monitoring tools can alert countries in the event of service disruptions, staff shortages and infections, stock-outs of essential supplies, and provide rapid information on community needs, perceptions, and barriers to care during the likely waxing and waning of the course of the outbreak.
The workstream will focus on:
• Developing, promoting, and supporting the implementation of the rapid facility and community surveys to assess “country readiness”.
• Building sustainable capacity to establish and use innovative dashboards to track and monitor Integrated Health Systems Preparedness and Performance (IHSPP).
• Establishing a global platform/dashboard that synthesizes and analyses data from national systems to track and monitor health systems.
• Monitoring health services (WHO)
• Tracking continuity of essential health services during the COVID-19 pandemic
